Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between Fenrai ("we", "us") and you ("you"), and they cover the Fenrai Discord bot, the website at fenrai.app, the dashboard behind Discord sign-in and the public transcript viewer. By adding the bot to a Discord server or signing in to the dashboard, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Fenrai is not affiliated with Discord Inc. Your use of Discord itself stays subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If Discord's rules and these Terms conflict, Discord's rules win for anything happening inside Discord.

2. What the service does

Fenrai runs automated moderation rules, an event log, a ticket system with transcripts, role persistence, announcement auto-publishing, timezone nicknames, go-live alerts for followed streaming channels and AI features paid for in credits. Which of these run on your server is entirely determined by the configuration you save in the dashboard. Nothing is enabled by default beyond the bot joining the server.

3. Who may use it

You need a Discord account in good standing. To configure a server in the dashboard you must have the Manage Server permission on that server, as reported by Discord. We rely on Discord's answer about your permissions, so if Discord grants you that permission, the dashboard will let you change that server's configuration.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the configuration you save and for everything the bot does because of it, including deleted messages, timeouts, bans, role changes, DMs to members and messages posted in the channels you selected.

You agree not to:

• use Fenrai to break Discord's terms, community guidelines or applicable law;
• use it to harass members, to send spam, or to collect data about people beyond what running your server requires;
• attempt to reach our internal systems directly, bypass the dashboard's authorization checks, or automate the dashboard beyond normal use;
• attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or resell access to it.

We may suspend a server or an account that does any of the above, without notice where the abuse is ongoing.

5. Plans, payment and refunds

Fenrai has a free plan and paid plans. Plans are bought per Discord server, not per user. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period you chose until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal and paid features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments that have already been made are not refunded pro rata, except where the law requires it or where the service was materially broken on our side.

When a paid plan ends, the features it unlocked stop working. Data already produced by those features, such as ticket transcripts, is then subject to the retention period of the plan the server falls back to.

AI credits

Features that use AI are paid for in credits, which come with the plan. They are a limit on how much of the service you may use, not a means of payment, and they have no monetary value.

• The allowance is replaced at the start of each billing period. Credits left over at the end of a period expire and do not carry over.
• Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between servers or refunded.
• We may change how many credits an operation costs, with notice. Prices at our AI provider move, and this is what lets the allowance follow them instead of the service being withdrawn.
• Running out of credits stops the AI features for the rest of the period. Everything else on your plan, including automated moderation itself, keeps running.

6. Availability

Fenrai is provided "as is" and "as available". Features can change, and we may add, alter or remove them. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we do not guarantee that the bot will catch every rule violation, or that automated moderation will be accurate. Treat automated moderation as an assistant to your moderators, not a replacement for them.

We depend on services we do not control, in particular the Discord API, our hosting provider, Stripe and OpenAI. An outage or a change on their side can degrade or stop parts of Fenrai.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit, lost members, or damage caused by moderation actions the bot took according to your configuration, by data loss, or by an outage. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected server in the twelve months before the event.

8. Ending the agreement

You can end it at any time by removing the bot from your server and, if you want your account gone, by deleting it from the settings page in the dashboard. We can end it by removing access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Section 7 and any payment already due survive the end of the agreement.

Deletion of data after the agreement ends is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

The Fenrai name, logo, dashboard and bot code are ours. Your configuration and your server's content remain yours. Nothing here transfers ownership either way.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will announce it on our support server before it takes effect. Continuing to use Fenrai after that means you accept the new version.
