Timezone Nickname
Timezone Nickname
Each member's local time, kept fresh in their nickname.
Members set their timezone once and their nickname shows what time it is where they are:
Marcin | 14:35 28:07:2026
Handy on servers spread across timezones, where "can you jump on a call" needs an answer before anyone checks a converter.
For members
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/timezone set | Set your timezone, IANA or alias (Europe/Warsaw, CET) |
/timezone show | Show what you have configured |
/timezone clear | Stop the sync and restore your old nickname |
The clock format (24h or 12h) follows the timezone's locale.
For admins
Enable it in Dashboard > Timezone Nickname. Nothing happens to a member until they
run /timezone set themselves.
Good to know
- Nicknames refresh every few minutes, so the minute shown can lag slightly.
- Discord caps nicknames at 32 characters, so a long name gets trimmed to fit the time.
- The server owner's nickname cannot be changed by any bot, that is a Discord rule.
- On a big server the first round of renames rolls out gradually rather than all at once.
